Occupational Safety and Health: An overview

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a multidisciplinary field that comprises the recognition, prevention and control of hazards in the workplace in order to promote worker's health which is one of the millennium development goals. History, importance, challenges, opportunities and research topics are described and analyzed for offering a broad understanding of what OSH concepts are.
