A novel barrage repeater jamming against SAR-GMTI

Synthetic aperture radar ground moving target indication (SAR-GMTI) has been extensively used in the battle field information acquiring. In this paper, a barrage repeater jamming against SAR-GMTI is proposed. This method separates the intercepted radar signal into several equal segments and reradiates them back to the radar in a rearranged order. The essence of the method is that the separation number and the rearranged order are random between each pulse. The randomicity leads to a barrage jamming in SAR images which cannot be cancelled by displace phase-center antenna (DPCA) processing. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
