Residents fueled gas network transfer data to master station by adopting GPRS network at present, but the situation of communication for residents fueled gas network is complicated and displays the unsteady signal for GPRS, slow rate for communication, make the communication between gasometer and master station often at the interrupted situation and brings uncomfortable condition to the operation and maintaining for residents gas usage. With the application of EPC exclusive net for large areas, the communication of gasometer with master station by using the exclusive net could be on development. The research designs a scheme for resident gas usage communication using GPRS and EPC simultaneously, without changing the gasometer or master station. By designing a double channel communication terminal, we can access GPRS and EPC modules simultaneously to communicate and then designing an IP-changer, the IP-changer translates IPs produced by the connection of different modules on the same terminal to the same IP and ensures the existing master station architecture remains the same. By setting up GPRS and EPC communication state machine, the quality and state of wireless communication can be monitored in real time. By building a double channel communication test platform, the feasibility of double channel communication has been verified through experiment.
