Knowledge is the most important component in the architecture of artificial intelligence that is applied to a variety of applications of artificial intelligence, one of which is a knowledge-based system. One part of KBS is the inference engine (inference engine) whose task is to determine the decision on the facts of input provided by the user. Therefore, the performance of the inference engine has a responsibility for the quality of decisions that are produced. To overcome this problem, this research will develop a Ternary Grid-based knowledge base that can be used to overcome errors in rules and facts and optimize existing material, content, or information. The ternary grid will be applied in the case of learning Islamic philosophy. The results of this study are the design of knowledge base system applications that can be used to study philosophy.
