Examples illustrate that feedback on automation-imposed reroutes & altitude/speed restrictions: 2.1 Allow a more optimal plan to be selected (0.2% better plan) 2.2 Feedback improves over historical data alone 2.3 Across major US carriers, the effect is on the order of $100 million per annum 3. Effect of MIT restrictions using flight-specific feedback and data sharing: 3.1 Can point to flights with higher likelihood of impact 3.2 Magnitude of impact can cause a switch in optimal routing 3.3 Effect requires further investigation 4. There are additional effects for which no feedback will be provided, need to investigate their impact on the optimum.
