This study aims to obtain and analyze hypersonic flow solutions using both the well-known and reliable Newton method and a preconditioned Newton-GMRES method that aims to improve on the regular Newton-GMRES, achieving a degree of reliability closer to that of Newton's while decreasing computational times. Three dimensional Euler equations are used for the analysis. The main objectives of this study are to obtain hypersonic flow solutions through the usage of Newton and preconditioned Newton-GMRES methods and analyze these solutions to compare their performances, also testing the feasibility of the aforementioned preconditioner. While Newton-GMRES methods do not require the calculation of a Jacobian matrix, the calculation of one for the Newton method is done analytically.
