Since traditional fossil fuel harmful affects to environment, the usage of renewable energy has been increased. BIPV(Building Integrated Photo Voltaic) has advantage in urban landscape viewpoint. However, due to its limitation of setting angle, the generating efficiency could be low. Therefore, it is important to select optimal installation place for BIPV. This paper deals with optimal location analysis for BIPV soundproofing wall by using DSM(Digital Surface Model). First, DSM derived by Lidar sensor is refined by proposed method (SERN filtering). Second, solar altitude angles are calculated during the one year for each candidate areas. Third, amount of sun irradiance is calculated considering buildings and trees near the candidate areas. For calculating the amount of irradiance, shaded area detection technique in photograrmmetry is used. With comparing the amount of sunshine for each candidate regions, optimal location for installing BIPV soundproofing wall is determined.
