In the field of automation application, observing or monitoring existing systems depends on the original UI system. If the existing system has low functionality or some data are not provided by the system, management staff or subsequent users may not be able to manage the system. Moreover, it requires a lot of funding and time to rebuild a new system to replace an original existing system, and many devices cannot be replaced or are difficult to obtain. In this case, if the operations of an existing system can be kept and a rear end observation system can be established at the minimum cost to increase new functions, such as data storage, analysis, or even achieve the purpose of control, then system optimization can be realized. Based on the above, this study provides an effective solution to achieve the above purposes. According to the findings, the intervention of a Modbus protocol arbitration device can effectively solve the problem by building a new monitoring system in parallel to the existing system, which allows more than two hosts to operate in the same automation system.
