China LEAd-based Reactor (CLEAR) which was performed by Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology (INEST/FDS Team), CAS, was selected as the reference reactor for the China ADS project. The project objective of the first stage is to construct a 10MW Lead-Bismuth Eutectic (LBE) cooled research reactor named China lead-based research reactor (CLEAR-1). Based on the technology roadmap of CLEAR-I, the paper presents mainly validation strategies of materials, the development and status of compatibility facilities, representative results of corrosion and stress corrosion experiments.
