A mathematical model is developed for a curtain system integrated with indoor space modal to study the rotating hygroscopic curtain potential in dehumidifying indoor environment with one side facing the room air and the other side facing a window with direct solar raditation. An experimental setup was built inside climatic chambers to validate the model predictions of room air temperature and moisture removal rate for rotating and stationary curtain. Good agreement was obtained between the experiments and model prediction of room air temperature and humidity.
