The absorption spectrum of H-shaped fractal antenna with a gap at the center of the antenna and VO layer formed on the gap for multi-band microbolometer was compared with that of it without the gap and VO layer. At room temperature, simulation and measurement results for the characteristics of H-shaped fractal antenna with a gap and VO layer have been showed that only one resonant wavelength has been observed due to the low conductivity of VO layer. On the other hand, at 90°C, due to the resistance and the relative permittivity variation of VO layer, we could have obtained two absorption peaks by the simulation. Although one of two resonant wavelengths has been shifted, we could have confirmed the multi-band characteristics of our H-shaped fractal antenna having VO layer for the application to microbolometer.
