The transmission characters of selective-filled photonic liquid crystal fibers (PLCFs) with different filled structures are experimentally studied. To investigate the transmission character, one, two or innermost layer of the air holes near the solid-core on one end of the photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) are selectively filled with liquid crystal (LC). For the LC filled-hole end connecting to light source, with the LC filled-hole gradually increasing, the transmission spectra can be observed obvious band gaps. For the air-filled end, since the combined action of two kinds of light transmission mechanism, the transmission spectra are different from the LC filled-hole end owned the same filled structures. Moreover, when the temperature was increased from 20??Cto 60??C, the PLCF of selective-filled innermost layer showed a good stability.
