摘要

The present work proposes an efficient scheme to control both voltage and frequency of a self-excited induction generator (SEIG) that operates in isolated area. The proposed method consists on the connection of a static compensator (STATCOM) to the SEIG stator terminals in order to implement a novel control strategy based on a bidirectional flow of active and reactive power system. Simulation results are carried out from a developed model in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The analysis of these results exposes a robust stability of the autonomous conversion system following some perturbations in load and speed.
