Metabolomic Analysis of Dunaliella salina upon Concurrent Deprivation of Nitrogen and Phosphor

In this study, the metabolome of D. salina upon concurrent deprivation of nitrogen and phosphor was profiled. Results showed the contents of most sugars and protective metabolites increased but the contents of fatty acids and part of amino acids decreased upon nutrients deprivation. Statistical analyses suggested metabolites changes significantly and biomarkers which could distinguish the replete and depleted nutrients conditions were identified.
