Next generation wireless communication systems require high data rate and high spectral efficiency to transport multimedia traffic. To achieve these goals Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) is a promising choice for future wireless communication system. However, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technique provides higher data rate without bandwidth expansion and smaller error rate. To get the advantages of both the techniques, MIMO technique combines with the MC-CDMA system. This results into getting MIMO MC-CDMA system. In wireless network planning spectral efficiency plays an important role, due to the limited radio spectrum. This work analyzes spectral efficiency of MC-CDMA and MIMO MC-CDMA system. The results show that the spectral efficiency of MIMO MC-CDMA system is larger than the MC-CDMA system. A comparative study is made among the different order of PSK modulation techniques for MIMO MC-CDMA system, it is found that each modulation technique has better performance within a certain range of SNR.
