摘要

The paper documents the initial engineering configuration of the new California pavementmanagement system, known as PaveM, and covers the aggregation of sensor data anddistress data for rigid pavements from the automated pavement condition survey throughto network management sections. The combination of these measurements into conditionvariables is discussed, along with the decision tree that is used to determine treatments onjointed rigid pavements. The performance models used to predict the future condition aredetailed, along with the statistical methodology used to develop them. The paper coverssome of the pitfalls in using highly detailed survey data, along with the benefits, and someof the lessons learned in the process.
