Obtaining an accurate model of a substation and/or transmission line is key to successful design for future construction. Considering the options available to accomplish such a task, ground-based 3D laser scanning provides a safe and efficient solution. Combined with traditional land surveying instrumentation and methods, ground-based 3D laser scanning provides increased data reliability and reduces project costs.
