Healthcare Quality: A Longitudinal Analysis of US Community Hospitals

The concept of quality that is remarkably operationalized in manufacturing industry, has also been embraced by healthcare industry. Despite the plenty of research conducted in healthcare quality, there is a scarcity of research that empirically studies how quality dimensions are related and how improving a quality dimension might affect other dimensions. We are trying to answer these questions using the American Hospital Association (AHA) database which had state-wide data on several healthcare quality parameters of interest over an extended period of 17 years starting from 1994 till 2010.
