摘要

This study mainly focuses on the development of a new magnetic suspension system for transporting parts. In this paper, we propose a 2-DOF suspension system using two actuators and two permanent magnets as a first step toward practical application. The principle of a non-contact suspension system is described. In the design of the system, the optimum combination of the magnetic poles on the levitating body is derived by analyzing the magnetic flux lines. The optimum distance between the magnets for suspension is determined by a magnetic force measurement experiment. Then, the overview of the prototype and the control system are described.
