In recent years, the use of renewable energy carriers has been considerably increasing. The trend is associated mainly with the gradual depletion of reserves of fossil fuels and with problems of the impact of conventional power engineering on the environment, mostly connected with emissions of greenhouse gases. The paper presents statistical data on electricity generation from renewable energy sources (RES) in the years 2003-2014. Electricity production processes have been modelled using stochastic differential equations. Solving equations with the Euler's method enables the simulation of processes in a medium-term horizon under uncertainty.
