In this paper, an interactive intelligent lighting control system based on DMX512 and STM32 is proposed, which can support standard DMX512 protocol and a variety of sensor nodes. The simulation of DMX512 protocol and the external sensor feedback are the key to the design of this intelligent interactive lighting control system. The design uses STM32 micro-controller, combined with HB100 microwave module and ultrasonic module to sense the human movement and the external environment. At the same time the system uses serial simulated DMX512 protocol to achieve dual 512-channel lighting control, and it also realize a cooperative communication for master controller and distributed sensor nodes. Sensor nodes of this system detect people's movement by ultrasonic sensors and microwave sensors. Further improvement was made in the mode of communication in this work and it improved the real-time performance of the system greatly. The design has been applied to the actual lighting engineering, the results of which confirm the potential of the proposed techniques.
