In this paper, we treat the case of border monitoring application especially we consider k-coverage and connectivity of Wireless Sensor networks (WSN). Coverage indicates how well a specific area can be supervised through a particular WSN. Moreover, connectivity aims to ensure the establishment of a wireless link within two consecutive nodes. Therefore, we try to ensure total coverage and connectivity of WSN for border monitoring system. thus, we ought to the determinist deployment of sensors. In this work, we propose a novel prototype of border monitoring application. The prototype proposed exploit advantages of hybrid WSN. It's able to supervise marine, aerial, ground and underground border. We attempt to implement surveillance system with higher degree of coverage means having well detection and achieved connectivity. We conclude about the pattern of sensing and the required number of sensor to use in the area investigated: the case of Tunisia-Lybia border.
