摘要

In this paper, the shear strengths of Reinforced Concrete (R.C.) circular columns were obtained by using numerical models based on the modified compression field theory which was extended to be applicable to the cross-section analysis of beams.By comparing the computational results with the past experimental results, the applicability of this numerical model for estimating the shear strength of R.C.circular columns was examined.Additionally, the validity range of the method which shear strengths were evaluated by substituting rectangular section columns for circular section columns was examined.The relations between the shear strengths of R.C.circular columns and the shear span-depth ratio were discussed.Furthermore, the shear strength was examined by using estimation equations of concrete strength of confined concrete for the numerical models.
