China is the most active sites for the contemporary global social and economic changes, Chinese many historical and cultural districts not only face a series of problems of demolition, transformation, update brought by the rapid urbanization, but also must reply strong shock of the intense social transformation, these is a huge threat of the historic district.How to interpret the authenticity of historical district, reconstruct and rebuild city culture is a solving significant practical problem dealing with the fierce competition of the city.This paper, from the perspective of the authenticity of historical district, analysis the core value of the historical district protection is the cultural inheritance of traditional lifestyle, deeply reflects how to continue the historical district of the traditional lifestyle from the levels on protection of attitude, update the concept, the role of government, public participation etc, in order to having practical ideas on protection of the historic traditional lifestyle.
