Enhanced Cloud Data Placement Strategy for Multiple Cloud Storage Services on Mobile Devices

Data placement is considered to be one of the most critical aspects in a cloud computing environment due to limited size in cloud storage. Many research work done to improve the performance of data placement in cloud computing. However, to the best of our knowledge, there is still an improvement that can be done to improve the performance. In this paper, we propose a solution that improve the existing data placement method which is data splitting in cloud storage. We propose a model that combine the calculation from both network speed and remaining size into one ratio. Then, we validate our hybrid ratio by comparing the result with other ratios. Our result shows that it can prevent overtime issue caused by size based ratio and overused storage caused by speed based ratio.
