Research on Emulsifier Dosage and Solution pH Value of Ultra-Thin Cold Mix Asphalt Mixture

In order to study the effect of emulsifier dosage and pH value of aqueous solution on the properties of ultra-thin cold mix asphalt mixture, three kinds of emulsifiers of Runqiang -300, Runqiang -303 and Meide were selected to make emulsified asphalt, by penetration, softening point and ductility test of the emulsified asphalt, the best dosage and pH value of the emulsified asphalt were made sure. The research results show: Runqiang -300 emulsified asphalt' emulsifier content was 2.8%, emulsifier aqueous solution pH value should be adjusted in about 2; Runqiang-303 emulsified asphalt' emulsifier content was 1.7%, emulsifier aqueous solution pH value should be adjusted in about 1; the Meide emulsified asphalt' emulsifier content was 6%, the pH value of the emulsifier aqueous solution should be adjusted to about 1.
