摘要

To define the application range of Morison Equation Method,two structural parameters:water depth ratio and slenderness ratio of bridge pier,were used as control variables to analyze the effectiveness of Morison Equation Method,based on Potential-based Fluid Computation Method.The result by seismic analysis shows that Morison Equation Method stays accurate under small water depth (0 ≤ water depth ratio Rw ≤ 50%),while its accuracy becomes unstable as water depth ratio is over 50%.Slenderness ratio has great influences on the accuracy of Morison Equation Method.When slenderness ratio is under 100,the accuracy tends to be unstable,and the increasement of slenderness ratio will improve the method's accuracy,especially when it is beyond 100.
