Capacity Evaluation for TD-SCDMA Multi-beam GEO Satellite Communication Systems

CDMA is a main access method of the satellite communication systems, Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) has already been used in narrow-band satellite communication systems. The paper gives a method of evaluating the capacity of the Time Division Synchronous Code-division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) and WCDMA for the multi-beam satellite communication systems. Both of them are multiple access methods based on DS-CDMA. The method considers the factor of the power limit, interference limit and physical resource limit.
