摘要

A probabilistic framework for reliability-based, optimized design based on multi-scale structural analysis is described. This framework enables the simulation of unlimited part configurations to customize and optimize designs. Multi-scale analysis is coupled with probabilistic analysis to evaluate the sensitivity of structural behavior relative to the input parameters. This approach provides the data to develop limited but efficient experimental testing programs to validate results and reduce knowledge gaps.
