Semi-analytical model for the performance estimation of 100Gb/s PDM-QPSK optical transmission systems without inline dispersion compensation and mixed fiber types

We propose a simple semi-analytical model to predict the performance of transmission systems without in-line dispersion compensation and mixed fiber types. Comparing with numerical simulations we show that our model predicts the Q² factor with an accuracy of 0.2 dB.
