On Minimality of Some Binary Clones Related to Unary Functions

One of the challenging problems in clone theory is the classification of minimal clones. In this paper we study minimal clones generated by binary functions. For two specific sets of binary idempotent functions, i.e., a set of functions which resemble a projection and a set of some simple type of commutative functions, we determine minimal clones generated by functions in these sets.
