Typical risk matrix has been demonstrated to include risk factor KPIs to calculate risk level; 3. The risk model results have been validated by some international oil shale projects while there is no specific technology or project is mentioned due to commercial interest conflict; 4. Quantitative risk assessment provides a method to quantify oil shale project risks associated with Technology, Market, Environment and Regulations; 5. Risk mitigation strategy can be valuated and compared utilizing the risk assessment model.
