Conclusions: We demonstrate that cationic amphiphilic co-polymer, PgP-25k can efficiently deliver Rolipram to CBN cells in vitro and in a rat SCI model in vivo. We also show that administration of Rm-PgP to both in vitro and in vivo models can restore cAMP to their control levels. We also observed reduced inflammatory cell infiltration and apoptotic response following Rm-PgP treatment in rat SCI model. In the future, we will assess the expression of key inflammatory cytokines and also the functional recovery after Rm-PgP treatment in rat SCI model.
