摘要

The aim of this paper is to provide a case study in Beijing to show the use of data derived from mobile phone networks in studying the spatial pattern and relationship of land use and traffic demand. Using data from over 12 million mobile phone users in Beijing, and refer to the help of GIS, land use parameters such as residential density, job density, balance degree of job/resident, distance to the city center, distance to the job center, and travel demand parameters such as trip density, trip distance, commute trip distance are extracted. Based on these information, the spatial characteristic and relationship of land use and travel demand are analyzed. The results indicate that traffic generation density has strong correlation with population and job density, while the spatial expansion of built up core and spatial distribution of job center has significant impacts on trip distance, especially commute trip distance.
