摘要

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a technique that measures the electrical activity of the brain and has a wide range of applications from medicine to engineering. It is used successfully in the diagnosis and monitoring of various neurological diseases such as epilepsy, insomnia, migraine and parkinson in medicine, and at brain computer interface applications in engineering. In this study, a person authentication was performed using EEG signals, which were recorded during smelling of rosemary, thyme, mint and clove oils. The findings showed that the responses of the human brain to these smells differ from person to person and can be used for biometrics.
