Stretchable electrodes based on elastomer like Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) have been utilized as the more conformal interface with soft tissues in recent years, but most connection methods between stretchable electrodes and flexible flat cable (FFC) are time-consuming and unreliable, such as printing conductive paste on the bonding pads or clamping this area to the connector. In this work, the efficient thermocompression bonding with the aid of thermal release tape is developed, and the high yield is achieved before and after stretching to 20%. This method is especially suitable for the high-precision polymer-based electrodes on the soft elastomer substrate.
