The first nuclear power plant of UAE is scheduled to begin supplying power in 2017. Also, the nuclear reactors should all be planned in operation by 2020. Braka city is constructing the nuclear power plant site of UAE as scheduled. The BNPP site is located in the Western Region (Al Gharbia) of Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. For the safe operation, development of Radiation Monitoring System (RMS) is important. Also, atmospheric dispersion study is a first step for RMS development. In this paper, short-term period atmospheric dispersion simulation was performed on Braka city area in UAE. Geological and meteorological data including the wind direction, wind speed, atmospheric stability etc. about the Braka city were collected and used for simulation. CALPUFF code was used as a simulation code. That is an advanced non-steady-state meteorological and air quality modeling system developed by ASG (Atmospheric Studies Group) scientists. From the short-term simulation, we can study and test environmental condition of UAE and simulation code before the long-term period simulation.
