The single-electron spectrum is studied in the two-dimensional quantum rings (a << R , a, R- inner and outer radii of the ring, respectively). It is shown that under certain circumstances, the system establishes quantum states that are close to the well known problem in quantum mechanics such as the fall of the particles on the center in the influence of a single central force, where, however, the presence of the inner boundary stabilizes the new ground state.
