This work presents a robust P2P video multicast streaming system when peers dynamically leave and join the multicast session. While constructing a multicast tree, we take into account not only the link delay, but also peer stability since peers show unpredictable and unstable behavior over P2P networks. Furthermore, we adaptively control the weighting factor between the link delay and peer stability to achieve an effective trade-off between these two factors. In essence, we employ Genetic algorithm to obtain a near optimal solution with low computational complexity. Finally, simulation results are provided to show the performance of the proposed system.
