A quasi-synchronous optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system, which uses a set of pairs of binary and bi-phase sequences with a zero correlation zone (Zcz) called an optical ZCZ (O-ZCZ) code as a spreading code, can efficiently mitigate multiple access interferences (MAI). This paper presents O-ZCZ codes of length 2n+1 with the minimum zero correlation zone Zcz=1, which possess a low aperiodic autocorrelation property. They are derived from complementary sequence pairs of length 2n that the sum of these aperiodic autocorrelation functions take zero except zero-shift.
