A 3D human head scan contains both texture and meshdata to convey the illusion of a human head. We performsubjective tests with a set of observers to distil the relativeimportance of texture resolution versus mesh resolutionfor human head scans, which is important for bandwidthlimited applications such as video conferencing. Themean observer scores (MOS) obtained from the testsallow us to propose a numeric model for estimating userperception in the tested conditions.
