Iron based nanocrystalline soft magnetic materials have attracted much attention due to their excellent soft magnetic properties and high saturation magnetisation. They find a various applications in motors, transformers, actuators, sensors and electronic communication devices [I]. Thus, from practical point of view it is very important to develop an optimal magnetic properties that are strongly connected with the microstructure of alloys. It was found that the best soft magnetic properties show materials consisting of grains less than 10 nm in diameter surrounded by an amorphous matrix with thickness of a few nm. This can be achieved during multistep process. However, generally it is realised in two main stages: ⅰ) fabrication of homogenous, amorphous alloys by rapid solidification method, and ⅱ) crystallisation process involved by heat treatment [3]. In this work we have investigated the microstructure and structure of as-spun as well as heat treated ribbons with the composition of Fe_(67)Co_(20)B_(12).
