The purpose of research is to design and develop the automated storage and retrieval system controlled by programmable controller via human machine interface devices. Major product management procedure is generally used to store and retrieve a wide variety of products in the manufacturing model unit. The automated storage and retrieval system is increasingly significant due to an accomplished feature in the modern designs. The feature will need to be developed to save time consumption and safe work procedure. The system is controlled by two methods: (i) fixed-path and (ii) first-in-first-out queue methods for automatically retrieving and storing products from suggested storage spaces. It is normally used in the applications where large quantities of loads move in and move out the storage warehouse. The main objective of this research is to design an automation system controlled and operated by the modern PLC system to meet the industrial requirements. The concept and model of the automatic system developed in this research could help industrial factories to improve efficiency of the operations by implementing programmable controller and human machine interface in the automated storage and retrieval system.
