Short circuit fault occurs in the running process of urban rail transit train can cause the action of vehicle short-circuit protection device, even make the protection device of power supply system act, and affect the power consumption of the section. Because the parameters of vehicle protection and power supply protection are designed separately, in order to study the matching and reliability of vehicle network protection, this paper first analyzes the possible short-circuit fault of vehicle on DC side, and then obtains the transient waveform of short-circuit fault through modeling and simulation. The correctness of the transient simulation results is verified by comparing with the calculation results of mathematical model of external characteristics of rectifier unit. According to the short-circuit transient simulation result, the operation sequence and protection range of vehicle protection devices are analyzed to verify the reliability of system protection. Finally, the accuracy of the theoretical analysis is verified by experiments. The research results are of great significance for the analysis of the causes and process of short-circuit fault of power supply and electricity coupling, the selection of vehicle protection device and the setting of power supply system protection parameters.
