摘要

Every shared wireless communication channel needs a medium-access control (MAC) protocol by which nodes contend for the channel and eventually transmit without collisions. Over the past several decades, many MAC protocols have been designed and several are in operation in wireless networks today. The MAC layer emulates a full-duplex logical communication channel in a multi-point network. This channel may provide unicast, multicast or broadcast communication service. While these protocols work well for traditional data workloads, they are inadequate in emerging wireless networks where the nature of data transmissions and application requirements are different. This paper enhances IEEE 802.15.7 Short-Range Wireless Optical Communication Using Visible Light [1] MAC protocol for broadcasting system. By using Frame synchronization based TDMA and Network Calculus, the new proposed broadcasting MAC can support QoS Visible Light Communication multichannel broadcasting.
