On the basis of monitoring requirements and field conditions of urban rail transit, an automatic real-time monitoring system for measuring wheel/rail dynamic response was researched. The architecture and components of it was analyzed with the guide of Internet of Thing (IOT) theory. Moreover, the automatic control technology and communication network technology such as 3G and VPN were applied in the system. The data of wheel/rail dynamic force, displacement and vibration acceleration of track components caused by passing trains were measured, collected, processed and transmitted automatically in real time. The results from laboratory and field tests show the system can measure track dynamic response, analyze and transmit the data automatically according to trigger signal of passing trains. The function of real-time and unattended monitoring for track conditions was realized.
