摘要

An analysis of THz beam propagation, in which Gaussian beam propagates between planar mirrors, is presented. The planar mirrors may be used in a THz scanning system to steer the beam propagation direction. It may obtain object imaging. Method of images is proposed instead of planar wave spectrum method to analyze the reflection of Gaussian beam by planar mirrors; the principle of method of images and analysis procedure are described. Full wave simulation is done to verify the correctness of the analysis. By rotating planar mirror the beam is steered and beam scanning is realized, which is also demonstrated by full wave simulation.
