Evaluation of Real Robot Agent Interface for Spoken Dialogue System

摘要

The talk target of spoken dialogue system can be “a robot (real)” or “a screen agent (virtual person / living thing)”. When considering from the viewpoint of easy-to-talk and familiarity, the physical robot could be better because of its physical characteristics. In this research, we constructed a dialogue system with the pet robot “Phyno”, which is a friendly interface as a talk partner, and conducted evaluation experiments compared with a display agent interface in a monitor display or personal data assistant. The experimental results show the benefits of the robot's physicality.
