AV Applications for TV sets empowered by Cell Broadband Engine

摘要

This paper describes new features for TV sets using the Cell Broadband Engine. One feature is the image super-resolution that converts standard definition to high definition image more vividly than conventional up-scaler. The other feature is the Multiple Video Playback that decodes and displays 48 video streams on the screen with optimized program.
