This poster reports a research in progress which investigatesthe academic influence of a scientific journal dedicated topublishing negative results. Based on a case study ofJournal o f Negative Results in Biomedicine (JNRBM), thisresearch examines the academic influence of this journalthrough citation impact, authors, productivity, andauthorship international diversity. Preliminary findingsshow that JNRBM has an active participation ofinternational scholars with high productivity in theiracademic disciplines, while citation counts of publishedarticles are still polarized. These results imply that journalspublishing negative results are beneficial for triggeringdiscussions and debates on current models, and tenets ordogmas, although they still gain limited attention from theacademic community.
